Ingredients
  • 1 unbaked pie shell
  • 3 large eggs
  • ½ C. sugar
  • ½ tsp. salt
  • ½ tsp. nutmeg
  • 2⅔ C. milk
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract
Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 350
  2. Beat eggs slightly and add remaining ingredients except for nutmeg.
  3. Pour into unbaked pie shell.
  4. Bake 35-40 minutes.
  5. Remove from oven and allow to cool completely.
  6. Top with ground nutmeg.

 

Poor Mans Pie

Ingredients
  • 1 unbaked pie shell
  • 1 C. brown sugar
  • ⅓ C. flour
  • ¼ tsp. salt
  • 1½ C. cream or half and half
  • 3 tbsp. apple cider vinegar
  • 3 tbsp. butter, room temperature
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 400
  2. Place pie crust into a pie pan and prick the bottom with a fork.
  3. Bake for 10 minutes and set aside.
  4. Reduce heat to 350.
  5. Mix together brown sugar, flour and salt.
  6. Add remaining ingredients and mix well.
  7. Dot the top with butter.
  8. Bake for 50-60 minutes ur until golden brown spots form on the top of the pie.
  9. Cool completely, filling will firm up as it cools.

Ingredients
  • 1 qt. warm water
  • 1 C. sugar
  • 1 C. powdered milk
  • 1 C. oil
  • 1 tbs. salt
  • 2 pkg. yeast
  • 8 C. all purpose flour
Instructions
  1. Combine water, yeast and sugar and let the yeast dissolve.
  2. In a separate bowl, combine milk, salt and five cups of flour.
  3. When the yeast dissolves, add the iol and pour into the dry mixture.
  4. Mix thoroughly and continue to add remaining flour until dough is not too sticky.
  5. Allow to rise until doubled in size.
  6. Bake at 350 for 15-20 minutes or until lightly browned.

No-Bake Chocolate Kahlua Christmas Balls

Ingredients
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 can (5 ounces) evaporated milk
  • 1¼ cups vanilla cookie crumbs
  • 1¼ cups ginger snap cookie crumbs
  • ½ cup confectioners' sugar, sifted
  • ½ cup finely chopped walnuts
  • ⅓ cup Kahlúa liqueur
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 2 cups shredded coconut
Instructions
  1. Melt the chocolate chips in evaporated milk in a pot over low heat, stirring constantly, until well blended. Remove from the heat and set aside to cool for about 30 minutes. Combine all remaining ingredients except the coconut; stir into the chocolate mixture, blending well.
  2. Shape the mixture into 1- to 1½-inch balls (if the dough is too moist, add up to ⅓ cup more cookie crumbs), then roll in coconut. Let air-dry for 2 hours on waxed paper. Transfer to an airtight container; store in refrigerator. Serve in pleated, brown-paper candy cups

Ingredients
  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 1 cup Imperial Sugar® / Dixie Crystals® Granulated Sugar
  • 1 cup confectioners' sugar
  • 1 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon almond extract
  • 3-½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup whole wheat flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon cream of tartar
  • 1 cup chopped almonds
  • 1 package (8 ounces) mini red and green M&M's or Heath baking bits
Instructions
  1. In a bowl, cream butter, sugars and oil.
  2. Add eggs and extract; mix well.
  3. Combine flours, baking soda, salt and cream of tartar; gradually add to creamed mixture and mix well.
  4. Stir in almonds and candy.
  5. Chill for 1 hour or until firm enough to handle.
  6. Shape into 1-in. balls; roll in sugar. Place on ungreased baking sheets.
  7. Flatten with a flat-bottomed glass. Bake at 350° for 15-18 minutes or until lightly browned.
  8. Cool on wire racks.
