Caramel Sauce

Ingredients
  • 1 C. brown sugar, packed
  • ½ C. heavy cream
  • 4 tbsp. butter
  • ⅛ tsp. sea salt
  • 1 tbsp. vanilla
Instructions
  1. Melt the butter in a pot.
  2. Mix in brown sugar, cream and salt.
  3. Cover the pot and cook on low for about 7 minutes. Whisk occasionally.
  4. Remove the cover, add the vanilla and whisk in well.
  5. Cook for 1 more minute to allow mixture to thicken.
  6. Place in a jar and store in the refrigerator.
